Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis | Groups

The deadline to apply for Internal Transfer for Spring 2020 is Wednesday, December 18th.

Internal Transfer Candidates

Students enrolled in other day division programs may apply to transfer to the Olin School.  Transfer applications are reviewed at the end of each semester for entry to Olin in the following spring or fall. New students to the University must spend their first semester enrolled in the school which admitted them.

Minimum criteria for admission as an internal transfer includes:

  • An academic record that supports that conclusion that the student will be able to complete the BSBA degree within a typical time frame.
  • Successful completion of Calculus II for credit is a requirement for admission to our program. Students may be currently enrolled in Calculus II at the time of the request to transfer providing the student will have completed the course and earned a letter grade prior to admission to Olin.
  • Students are expected to have completed at least two business (BU) courses for credit.
  • A 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
  • You must be in good standing in your current division.
Each application is reviewed on its own individual merits. Meeting these specific requirements does not guarantee admission to Olin automatically.

To start your transfer application:

  • Submit your online application under the “Change Schools” menu item on WebSTAC by the end of a semester.
  • Complete an exit interview or exit survey with your home division before the end of the semester.
  • Olin’s Admission Committee will review all applicants for their eligibility to transfer once the semester’s grades are submitted.
  • You should plan to meet with one of the BSBA academic advisors during our walk-in advising sessions in Simon 118 to discuss schedule ideas for the next semester as well as to familiarize yourself with our degree requirements. An on-call advisor is available to meet with walk-ins on Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
