The Microsoft Lync client is available on multiple platforms. Use the links provided to obtain the appropriate Lync client for your device.

Windows | MacOS | Android | iPad | iPhone | Windows Phone

Windows

We provide the Lync 2013 client as part of our standard PC.  If you want to install the Lync client on your own personally-owned PC or an Olin PC at home, do the following. Please note that Lync 2013 is part of Office Pro 2013, so if you have installed Office, check the Office program group for the Lync icon.

  1. Logon to your Office 365 account at http://email.wustl.edu/mail
  2. Click Settings > Office 365 Settings (The Settings icon is the gear icon in the upper right corner of your browser window)
  3. Click Software - Install and manage software.
  4. Click the Install button under Lync to download and install the software.

If you are using Windows 8, a Windows Store app for Lync is available. You can find it in the Windows Store.

MacOS

We install the Lync 2011 client as part of our standard install, but depending when your Mac was setup, you may not have it installed.  To download and install Lync 2011 on your Mac, do the following:

  1. Logon to your Office 365 account at http://email.wustl.edu/mail
  2. Click Settings > Office 365 Settings (The Settings icon is the gear icon in the upper right corner of your browser window)
  3. Click Software - Install and manage software.
  4. Click the Install button under Lync to download and install the software.

Android

Install Lync 2013 for Android from the Google Play store.

iPad

Install Lync 2013 for iPad from the App Store.

iPhone

Install Lync 2013 for iPhone from the App Store.

Windows Phone

Install Lync 2013 from the Windows Phone Store.
