Installing Cisco AnyConnect for Android

Please note that compatibility of the AnyConnect with different builds of Android i snot guaranteed. Please review and follow any instructions provided on the store page for the app. We do not provide support for the Android client.

  1. Search for AnyConnect in the Google Play Store or use the direct link and install.
  2. Tap the AnyConnect app to start the program.
  3. Tap Add VPN Connection.
  4. Enter vpn.wustl.edu/business for Server Address and Olin for Description.
  5. Tap Save.


Connecting with AnyConnect

  1. Tap AnyConnect to start the program
  2. Tap either Olin Business or Olin Business (FT). If you are connecting for the first time, tap the connection name that you added when you installed the app.

    If you use Olin Business, only traffic for Olin resources will use the VPN. All other traffic will use your normal Internet connection. If you use Olin Business (FT), all traffic will be sent over the VPN.
  3. Enter your username and password and tap OK. Make sure you enter the correct credentials.
    If promtped to trust the application, tap I trust this application then tap OK.
  4. You are now connected. To disconnect, return to AnyConnect and tap AnyConnect VPN to disconnect.


Switching from Olin VPN to WUSTL Key VPN

If you have been using the Olin VPN to connect, you may not see Olin Business and Olin Business (FT) listed as choices. You need to connect to the new VPN in order for the dropdown list to be updated. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Tap Add VPN Connection.
  2. Enter vpn.wustl.edu/business for Server Address and Olin for Description.
  3. Tap Save.

 After you logon, the list will be updated for future connections.

Connect by selecting either Olin Business or Olin Busines (FT) and logon with your WUSTL Key username and password. You can delete the old connections.
